Four tanks are already in Ukraine, ten more will be sent to Ukraine this week
– said Mariusz Blaszczak at his press conference. After the briefing, the head of the Ministry of Defense left for Stockholm, for the meeting of defense ministers of the European Union (EU) member states starting in the evening, where the main topic is the European security situation and the support to be provided to Ukraine.
He said that on the occasion of the meeting, he will have a special meeting with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. “The basic topic of our discussion will be the lack of spare parts for Leopard tanks,” he explained. He added that this problem can primarily be solved by the German military industry, but Poland is also ready to produce spare parts. “We are ready to establish a center in Poland that would deal with the repair and servicing of Leopard tanks to be delivered to Ukraine,” said Mariusz Blaszczak.
