U.S. military grounds all Osprey aircraft after fatal Japan crash

Tokyo – The US military stated Wednesday it was grounding all of its V-22 Osprey helicopters, per week after one of many aircraft crashed off the coast of Japan, killing all eight US airmen on board. A preliminary investigation into the crash of the Osprey CV-22B off the Japanese island of Yakushima on November 29 exhibits that it could have been attributable to materiel failure, the Air Force Special Operations Command stated in a press release, which means that the issue was with an error within the aircraft apart from a crew member.
