The mid-air collision between two attack helicopters “HH-60 Black Hawk” took place on Wednesday around 22:00 in the Trig area, the representative of the Fort Campbell army base confirmed in a statement.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, she added.
Fort Campbell is located near the Tennessee border about 60 miles northwest of Nashville.
Last month, two Tennessee National Guard pilots died when their Black Hawk helicopter crashed during a training flight in Alabama.
