There are conflicting reports from around Bahmut, with both sides reporting successes

Earlier on Wednesday Alexander Sladkov Russian military blogger reported that the Russian forces surrendered the settlement of Klishchiivka, located south of Bakhmut.

A Kremlin-appointed official in eastern Ukraine denied the claim, while the Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the information in its daily report.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Andriy Kovalov stated that At Klishchiivka, Ukrainian forces have achieved partial success and are entrenching themselves at the lines achieved.

The enemy resisted vigorously using reserves and suffered heavy losses

Kovalov said.

At the same time, Moscow reported that their forces three Ukrainian army groups were struck near Bahmut. According to a Russian military source interviewed by RIA Novosti, the troops successfully repelled a Ukrainian attack in the region.
