Many fishermen who in the last two weeks had protested against the increase in the price of diesel have decided to return to the sea. The protest had affected almost all the main Italian ports: thousands of fishing boats had remained moored and for about ten days, in the markets and restaurants, it was difficult to find fish caught in Italy. The fishermen had decided not to work because the very high price of fuel had drastically reduced their earnings.
