JPMorgan’s British digital bank, Chase UK, announced in a statement on Tuesday that from October 16, customers “will no longer be able to carry out crypto transactions using a debit card or outgoing bank transfer”.
The company said it is taking this drastic step because “fraudsters are increasingly using crypto assets to steal large amounts of money from people.”
Earlier, several British banks made a similar decision, limiting transactions involving cryptocurrencies, so they are trying to prevent their customers from becoming victims of fraud.
