The mayor of Moscow ordered an animal health quarantine due to bird flu
Due to bird flu, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin ordered quarantine in several districts of the Russian capital on Thursday.
The quarantine, aimed at preventing and eradicating the spread of highly pathogenic bird flu among animals, was introduced due to the discovery of infected wild birds in the Orehovo-Boriszovo and Bratyejevo districts.
All activities related to poultry farming, including the transport of birds and eggs, slaughtering, open-air housing, handling of sick specimens, plucking of feathers and down, or holding agricultural fairs, are prohibited in epidemiology hotspot zones.

Ukrainian war-wounded soldiers will be treated in a Japanese military hospital
