On July 6, TVNET together with LMT Viedtelevízija could watch the XXVII General Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival folk music concert “Trejdeviņi spēlmanīši” live. Watch the concert recording!
The folk music concert honors the traditional music of the Latvian people – both authentic and transformed into a more familiar sound for the modern listener. The concert is dedicated to traditional folk musical instruments, the masters who make them, and the skilled players of today.

The sound and visual focus of “Trejdevini spēlmanīši” are bagpipes, stabules, kokles, violin, horns and drums.
The musicians demonstrated the sound of these instruments to the audience, interpreting the dance melodies found in the archives and performing their original music created especially for this event, which revealed the possibilities of each instrument and the creativity of the musicians. The plot basis of the concert was formed by the opus of the group “Iļgi” “We are nine pale ones”.

- group “Iļgi” – Ilga Reizniece (violin, voice), Māris Muktupāvels (voice, kokle, bagpipes, accordion), Gatis Gaujenieks (voice, bass guitar, lyre), Egons Kronbergs (guitar), Mārtiņš Linde (percussion instruments); – guest artists – Irīna Mihailovska (voice), Uģis Prauliņš (voice, keyboard instruments), Latvian University dance folklore group “Dandari” (leader Inga Holsta), Riga Culture and Folk Art Center “Ritums” folklore and ancient fighting group “Vilkači” (leader Edgars Zilberts), Riga Dance Club of Riga Culture and Folk Art Center “Ritums” (leader Valdis Putniņš);
- soloists – DJ Monsta (Uldis Cīrulis), Laima Jansone (kokles), Audars Kārlis Klints (bagpipes, horn, horn), Eduards Klints (bagpipes), Liene Brence (violin), Lauma Matule (stabule) and Zane Dukaļska (drums). .
The author and artistic director of the concert idea is Lauma Bērza, director and stage designer – Pamela Butāne, choreographer – Agate Bankava, lighting artist – Jūlija Bondarenko, video artist – Klāvs Priedītis, animation artist – Toms Burāns.
