Also on Sunday, Russia made a proposal to Ukraine, indeed an ultimatum, regarding the evacuation of the inhabitants of Mariupol. Kremlin proposes a bilateral truce, which would start on Monday 9:30 21 March. Between 10:00 and 12:00, Ukrainian soldiers would leave the city and by 12:00 humanitarian convoys from both sides would enter Mariupol, then the evacuation of civilians would begin through the corridors leading to the west and East.
The evacuation of civilians to the west will be coordinated by the Ukrainians and the evacuation to the east by the Russians. Russia expects Ukrainian response to the 5 am proposal, Kremlin propaganda media, including TASS and RIA Novosti, reported. If Ukraine accepted the conditions imposed by Russia, it would mean the capitulation of Mariupol.
