In the first two months of last year, the budget had a surplus of 415 billion rubles.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance, the income of the first two months of this year’s budget fell by 25 percent year-on-year to 3,163 billion rubles. In January, the decrease was 35 percent.
Among other things, oil and gas revenues fell by 46.4 percent to 947 billion rubles in the two months ending at the end of February on an annual basis.
The two-month budget expenditure was 52 percent higher than a year earlier and amounted to 5,744 billion rubles. In January, spending was 59 percent higher than last January.
