According to the blog, S-8OF unguided shrapnel missiles, also known as “Fadak 2”, were manufactured in 2022 in Iran, and the Ukrainians use them for former US-donated Afghan helicopters.

It can be ruled out that Iran delivered the missiles to Ukraine on purpose, just as it is unlikely that the shipment sent to the Houthi rebels in Yemen ended up in Ukraine, since the Houthis do not use helicopters very much. The identity of the supplier is thus completely shrouded in mystery.

Iran is currently Russia’s largest foreign supplier of military equipment: the Persian country primarily supports its ally with drones and probably ammunition shipments.
