At the “Positivus” music festival, 63 different violations were registered in two days, but there were no significant incidents, informed Gita Gžibovska, senior specialist of the public relations department of the State Police.
On the first day of the festival, the police registered 30 violations, while on the second day – 33. The number of registered violations is similar to last year, when the festival was first held in Lucavsala, says Gžibovska.
The policemen followed to ensure that no narcotic substances were used, and cynologists with service dogs also helped in the monitoring. Part of the initiated administrative violation processes are directly related to the possession of narcotic substances or being under the influence of these substances.
Some criminal proceedings have also been initiated for the purchase and possession of narcotic or psychotropic substances, in which expert examinations have been ordered.
Also, proceedings for administrative violations have been started for being in a state of alcohol intoxication in a public place that disturbs public order, for open packaging of alcoholic beverages, for drinking alcohol if it was committed by a minor, and other violations, the police representative adds.
In order to ensure the safe movement of all road users, additional traffic monitoring forces were also recruited. In Lucavsala, only a couple of traffic violations were registered when drivers did not purchase compulsory civil liability insurance (OCTA).
It has already been announced that the “Positivus” festival took place on Friday and Saturday in Lucavsala, where several popular music groups performed on three stages.
