In Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, a hand grenade exploded near the courthouse on Friday, killing one person and injuring five others, the police said.
The person who detonated the grenade lost his life, said Charna Rastoder, the police representative for press relations.
“At the moment we have information that five people are injured,” said Rastodera, without giving further details.
Police later announced that the injured were hospitalized, but the injuries were not serious.
Over the past few weeks, several false bomb threats have been received about bombs allegedly planted in government and court buildings in the capital, which led to the evacuation of these buildings.
