In the past 24 hours, eight drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol in Latvia, the State Police (VP) informed.
Seven of those caught should be held criminally liable because they were under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle will be confiscated for three of them, while the value of the vehicle will be recovered from four drunk drivers.
In the past 24 hours, 525 administrative violation decisions were made in the field of road traffic, including 229 for speeding and one for aggressive driving.
