Clubhouse, the audio social network launched in 2020, underwent a revolution in order to achieve new success. In particular, the latest version, available for both Android that for iOS, includes the Chatswhich is a vocal-only group in which your friends participate. The operation is quite simple: any user, by pressing the microphone icon in the center of the interface, starts recording a voice message. After sending the chat to your favorite contacts, they will be able to interact with additional voice recordings.
This implementation also triggered a revolution of the app on a design level. In fact, the section dedicated to chats is the first you notice in the new “Home” tab, just as after the first login the user is immediately asked to start a conversation. However, the app hasn’t completely forgotten its origins since it is still possible to open live rooms that allow live audio.

Therefore, the developers are trying to revive the fortunes of Clubhouse, which experienced strong success during the pandemic, and then declined in popularityespecially as other social networks have started to offer a similar feature, including Twitter (with Spaces) e Facebook (with Live Audio Rooms).
In any case, it is an important step to the point that the company has declared that “We don’t take these changes lightly, but we believe they will make Clubhouse stronger in the long run. It’s a big gamble and we hope we’re right…”
