Chaos may come tomorrow on German railways

The German practice drivers’ union GDL introduced on Tuesday that its members will maintain a 20-hour warning strike from Wednesday to Thursday. The work stoppage comes amid wage negotiations between the union and the state-owned railway firm Deutsche Bahn.

The strike is more likely to trigger main disruptions to coach visitors in Germany,

because it occurred throughout earlier GDL strikes. The strike begins at 22:00 on Wednesday and ends at 18:00 on Thursday.

The GDL calls for a month-to-month wage enhance of 555 euros for workers, and a one-time fee of three,000 euros to offset inflation. The union can be asking for a discount in working hours from 38 to 35 hours with no pay lower.

Negotiations between GDL and DB started final week and can proceed on Thursday. Martin Seiler, DB’s head of personnel, reacted to the announcement by saying
