Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of striker Dango Ouattara on a five-and-a-half-year contract from Ligue 1 side Lorient.

90 minutes reported last week that Bournemouth were one of five Premier League clubs interested in signing Ouattara, and now the Cherries have their man.

Speaking to the club’s official website after finalizing the move, Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said:

In this edition of Talking Transfers, Scott Saunders hosts Toby Cudworth and Graeme Bailey to discuss all the great transfer stories. This week’s agenda includes Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Hakim Ziyech, Leandro Trossard, Pedro Porro, Mykhaylo Mudryk and many more!

“We are delighted to secure the services of Dango, an up-and-coming and sought-after player with great potential.

“We have been monitoring him over a period of time and he fits the profile of the young, ambitious, hungry and hardworking player that this club are looking to recruit. Bill has outlined his ambitious plans for the club and the signing of an exciting potential like Dango is testament to the direction he is looking to take us.”
