Australian airline Qantas Airways appoints John Mullen as president

Australian airline Qantas Airways introduced the appointment of John Mullen as its president on Wednesday. He will take up the position forward of the corporate’s annual basic assembly scheduled for October.

Nora Scheinkestel will be a part of the board as a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee.

The new appointments happened after the retirement of the present president Richard Goyder and the 2 councilors Maxine Brenner and Jacqueline Hey.

Qantas shares closed at $18.72 on Tuesday, down 3.06%.
