Aston Villa have opened talks with representatives of Moussa Dembele ahead of a potential January move. 90 minutes he understands.

While a deal could be made to sign the player on a pre-contract prior to his free agency, 90 minutes understands that Aston Villa are considering signing Dembele this January.
The French striker enjoyed a difficult season at Lyon in 2022/23, making just six Ligue 1 appearances for the club and scoring a meager two goals. Before that, however, Dembele scored consistently, most notably during the 2021/22 season in which he scored 21 goals in 30 league appearances.
