After mobilizing and concentrating resources, Russia is not capable of successfully breaking the front, and this gives an opportunity to look hopefully into the future and wait for Ukraine’s counterattack, Jānis Sārts, director of NATO’s Center of Excellence for Strategic Communication, said on social networks.

It is safe to say that what is currently visible on the Ukrainian fronts is the “Great Russian attack”.

“As we know, there are no successes, there are no new lines of attack, and currently the target of the “big” attack is Bahmut and Vuhledar,” said Sarts.

All this means that even after mobilization and concentration of resources, Russia is not capable of successfully breaking the front, according to the expert. This gives an opportunity to look hopefully into the future and wait for Ukraine’s counterattack.

For this, Ukraine will need equipment and ammunition, so it is necessary to continue Ukraine’s support, Sarts said.

It has already been reported that, according to the assessment of the analysts of the US Institute of Military Studies (ISW), with the possible capture of Bakhmut, the attack of Russian troops in eastern Ukraine will reach its peak, as it has no reserves to develop a breakthrough in this direction.
