In the Russian attacks in Ukraine since July 18, when the grain export transaction was suspended, 105 port infrastructure facilities were damaged, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandrs Kubrakov announced on social media.

Administrative buildings, grain warehouses, edible oil storage tanks and road transport were damaged in the attack of enemy drones on Reni and Izmailia ports of Odesa region on the night of September 13.

Kubrakov pointed out that the attacks on the Danube ports and the blockade of the seaports led to the fact that grain exports to the countries of Asia, Africa and Europe decreased by almost three million tons per month.

“Despite the aggressor’s efforts to reduce the export potential, the ports continue to operate,” Kubrakov emphasized.

Currently, the Danube ports are still the only waterway for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.
