Kirilenko informed that around 10 a.m. on Saturday, Russian forces attacked the city with a rocket launch system. A residential house and a shop were damaged in the attack,
“Russian terrorists continue to attack civilians in Donetsk region,” the head of the region’s military administration said, adding that “all their crimes are being carefully documented.”
In the Donetsk region near the front line, Russia regularly conducts attacks on civilian infrastructure and the population.
Five residents of the area were injured in such attacks on Friday.
A total of 1,596 civilians have been killed and another 3,809 injured in the Donetsk attack during Russia’s repeated invasion of Ukraine, which began 500 days ago, according to information gathered by local authorities.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced on Saturday morning that during the past 24 hours, Russian forces fired about 60 rockets from reactive missile launchers, attacking both the positions of the Ukrainian forces and populated areas.
