Reflecting the war between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, at least 31 journalists have been killed, based on info accessible to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

Of the useless media employees, 26 were Palestinians, 4 Israelis and one Lebanese. Another eight journalists were injured and 9 are believed to be lacking or captured, CPJ stated.

“Journalists in Gaza face notably excessive dangers as they attempt to cowl the battle in the face of an Israeli floor assault (..), devastating Israeli airstrikes, communications disruptions and widespread energy outages,” CPJ stated in an announcement Monday.

Among the useless are well-known Palestinian filmmaker Rushdi Saraju and Reuters video cameraman from Beirut Issam Abdallah, who was killed close to the Lebanese border by Israeli gunfire, CPJ stories.

In response to a request by “Reuters” and the AFP information company to ensure the security of their employees, the Israeli military replied that it can’t give such ensures concerning journalists working in the Gaza Strip, “Reuters” reported.
