The pipeline in question is called the Balticconnector, and runs under the Gulf of Finland between the two countries.
So far, there is no information about the exact damage to the gas line other than that the damage is serious. It is also not known whether the gas connection between the two countries has completely stopped. So far, the Estonians and the Finns have only said that their energy supply system is not in danger.
Finnish, Swedish and English newspapers write about it: according to the Finnish government, Russia committed the sabotage action, an official press conference is expected later in the day.
Finland and Estonia are both NATO members.
The pipeline was shut down on Sunday.
The news of the sabotage charge also caused gas prices to skyrocket.
