The summer sales are already starting to leak out into the world like warm sunscreen exploding from the top of the bottle. That said, not everything you want will be for sale. Now it is Not time to buy a mattress or any new outdoor gear, as both will likely see better discounts later this month, especially during any Memorial Day sale.
Don’t worry, though. There’s still plenty of deals to come, and we’ve rounded up some of our favorites on kids’ Kindles, All-Clad pans, iPads, espresso machines, and more. Don’t see anything you like? Don’t forget to check out our guides to the best Kindles and best iPads for more.

Kindle Paperwhite for kids
Photography: AmazoniaKindle Paperwhite Kids (8GB) for $110 ($50 off)Amazonia
Kindles are simple, reliable, and good at what they do, which is packing tons of books onto a device that fits in the palm of your hand. Their simplicity also makes them perfect for children. The Paperwhite Kids is our top pick among the various Kids models. It has a bigger, sleeker screen, more lighting options, and IPX8 water resistance. Get a one year subscription to Amazon Kids+, a kid-friendly content library with parental controls. This deal has been in and out for a month, but it’s the best price you’re likely to see leading up to Prime Day this summer.
Kindle Kids (16GB) for $80 ($50 off)Amazonia
The base-model Kids Kindle comes with more storage, but doesn’t have as nice a screen as the Paperwhite above. It’s not waterproof and there’s no dimmable warm lighting, but it’s a little cheaper and gets the job done. As with Paperwhite Kids, you get a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+.
Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet for $70 ($20 off)Amazonia
Amazon tablets are some of the only affordable tablets out there. They’re not all that powerful, but Fire tablets are fully functional and reasonably capable devices. When you put them on sale, they’re almost too good to be true, especially if you follow our guide to installing the Google Play Store on your new Fire so you can access (almost) all the apps you’ve ever wanted. This will likely be about $10 cheaper on Prime Day later this year, but this is a good deal if you want one now. Even the Plus model with an extra gig of RAM and more storage is On Sale For $90 ($20 Off).
Echo Dot with Clock (2022 Model) for $40 ($20 off)Amazonia
The Echo Dot with clock is currently our favorite mini smart speaker. You can easily check the time in the middle of the night, thanks to the forward-facing digital clock, and it will wake you up with your favorite playlists. The sound isn’t bad either.
Apple iPads
Photography: appleApple iPad (2022, 10th Generation) for $400 ($40 off)Amazonia
That’s the lowest price we’ve seen on a 10th-generation iPad from Apple (7/10, WIRED Review). It’s powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chip and features a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, USB-C port, support for 5G, and a Touch ID sensor built into the power button.
OnePlus 9 Pro for $450 ($100 off)Amazonia
The OnePlus 11 Pro came out earlier this year, which means deals are coming on last year’s OnePlus 10 Pro (7/10, WIRED recommends). It’s not a perfect phone, the camera could be better, but it has a bright 120Hz screen, fast charging and decent battery life, and it offers great performance. It’s also a significantly better phone at this price, the lowest we’ve ever seen it drop.
Headphone Deals
Sennheiser HD 660S2 headphones
Photography: SennheiserSennheiser HD 660S2 for $500 ($100 off)Amazonia
The Sennheiser HD 660S2 headphones (7/10, WIRED recommend) deliver a warm, smooth and refined sound signature with reference quality detail and dynamics. You get that lovely deep, articulate bass that Sennheiser is famous for. The trick is that they are expensive. This deal takes some of the bite out of the price.
Sony WF-1000XM4 Earphones for $198 ($50 off)AmazoniaTarget
WIRED associate editor Parker Hall says Sony’s redesigned WF-1000M4 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) earphones are “the best money can buy, as long as your ears are big enough.” The sound quality is excellent, the noise cancellation is better, and they pick up your voice more clearly than ever. They also have wireless charging and an industry-leading eight-hour battery life. Just make sure your ear holes are big enough to fit.

Photography: BrevilleBreville Barista Express for $600 ($150 off)Amazonia
Our favorite all-in-one espresso machine is on sale right now. It’s your local coffee shop condensed into an over-the-counter device. He will grind the beans, pour the espresso and steam the milk. WIRED review editor Julian Chokkattu has had this model for four years and says it’s still going strong.
All-Clad d3 10.5-inch Frying Pan for $100 ($60 off)Case and barrel
If you need a new pan, this is a good price for a pan that will likely last a lifetime. All-Clad’s pots and pans aren’t cheap, but they’re reliable and rarely go on sale. The 10-inch pan is a good size all round, although the 12-inch one is also on sale for TK (TK off) if you prefer something larger.
Instant Pot Pro 10-in-1 Cooker for $129 ($20 off)Amazonia
Are you the last person without an Instant Pot? Here’s your chance to have some fun. This 10-in-1 model can pressure cook, simmer, steam, saute, vacuum seal and more. This often drops another $20 on Black Friday, but if you don’t want to wait, this is a good deal.
Only Stove Yukon 2.0 Firepit for $460 ($50 off)Lonely stove
We love Solo Stove’s shiny chrome fire bowls. Their distinctive design has airflows at the top and bottom to produce secondary combustion resulting in a very hot fire with very little smoke.
